How You Can Help

The Simon Foundation, Inc. is dedicated to the preservation and adoption of dogs and cats that would otherwise be abandoned on the streets, neglected, abused, or euthanized in municipal shelters, and placing them into caring and loving homes.

The Simon Foundation, Inc. is a charitable organization organized
under Section 501 (c) (3) of the Internal Revenue Code. Your tax-deductible donations are greatly appreciated, and 100% of your donations go directly to helping the animals.

Sponsor A Pet

We understand that there are many of you who would love to adopt a pet, but for whatever reason you may not be able to.  You may already have pets, or your living environment or situation may not be conducive to adopting.

We provide wonderful living quarters and conditions for our residences (pets) while they are at The Simon Foundation. It is our goal to find everyone of them a permanent loving home.

If you would like to adopt a dog or cat but can't, the next best thing is to sponsor one. You can sponsor a dog or a cat for an entire week for as little as $10.

Please view our available pets. If you see one which you are fond of please sponsor them. You can click on the tab at the right or you can mail us a check, or you can call (860) 519-1516 and do this by credit card.

Our state of the art facility insures our dogs and cats receive the best care and attention possible while they reside with us, but it is your contributions that make this possible. So take a look at our pets pick out one, or two, or more, and help insure their future.

Donate your car!

If you have a car or van that is in good condition, we would love to have it.  We are constantly transporting animals to the vet, events, and to their new homes, and a reliable vehicle is a necessity.

Supplies

The Simon Foundation can house over 130 dogs and 50 cats at any given time, so we are always in need of supplies.  Dog and cat food, treats, leases collars, blankets and beds, crates and carriers, kitty liter, toys and cleaning supplies like paper towels, bleach, garbage bags, etc.Donate a Kuranda Bed:

Donate a Bed

The Kuranda Dog Bed Company has created a DONATE A BED Program to help provide shelter dogs with a soft, dry off the floor place to relax (which every dog deserves).  The calming effect can reduce stress levels, which helps promote adoptions.

You can donate a Kuranda bed at a special discount, and it will be shipped directly to us in your name.  Donations that are given as gifts are acknowledged with a Special Gift Card mailed directly to the donor.

Your gift will provide a Simon Foundation dog with a comfortable Kuranda bed which will last for many years, and comes with a full One Year Warranty.
